How do I get training?

Training, leading to certification as a Graphoanalyst, is available through the International Graphoanalysis Society (IGAS).  Information is available at their website www.igas.com .  Most individual members of SCIGAS are qualified to teach a basic course, which will familiarize you with the process.  This basic course will not lead to certification; however, successful completion can earn you a discount coupon toward the course from IGAS.

Is there a fee to attend SCIGAS meetings?

With the exception of seminars, there are no fee and guest are welcome.  After one or two visits, we would like you to consider taking steps toward membership.   The only other expense is, during our meetings, we have Dutch-treat lunch.  We normally go, as a group, to a nearby restaurant and have informal fellowship during the meal.  However, this is not required and should you decide to dine elsewhere, Columbia has many fine restaurants, suited to any taste.

We normally meet on the third Saturday of January, March, May, September and November.  There is no meeting in July.  We meet from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.,, with a break for lunch.  The meetings are held in the fellowship hall of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 525 Saint Andrews Road, Columbia, SC.  (We are not affiliated with the Church.  They have been kind enough to allow us to use their facilities for several years.).  This is located less than a mile from the 106-A exit on I-26 (See the directions link).

Please note: Our meeting for September 19, will be our annual seminar.  We will be meeting in Charleston, SC.  Please click on the Seminar link for more information.  It is suggested that you enter the address of the seminar into www.mapquest.com for specific directions from your location.
